The Cherokees were civilized and properly educated. Indian Rolls reveal both Indian and Christian names. In Georgia, they were the printers of the New Echota Press near Cartersville. Original copies were preserved and bound into a large book. They may be view at the Cobb County Regional Library in Marietta, Georgia. This tribe was actively engaged in farming and local Indian affairs. Arrowheads were discovered in the creeks, and silver mines in the hills of North Georgia. Around 1910, the descendants returned to the North Georgia mountains with maps! The maps led them to the silver mines.
